From the family

A family operation, not a chain

Dear neighbor,

My grandfather began sweeping chimneys in Chicago with a truck, a set of rods, and a commitment to leave every hearth in better shape than he found it. That is still how we work.

When you call, you talk to our family, not an answering service, and the technician who arrives is someone we trained ourselves. Our name rides on every job.

Common questions

The five questions we get asked most

What is covered in an inspection?

We run a camera through the flue liner, examine the crown, cap, flashing, damper, and firebox, and hand you a written report with photos.

How frequently should a chimney be swept?

Once a year for most households that burn wood on a regular basis. If you go through more than a cord per season or notice dark flakes in the firebox, schedule a sweep sooner.

Do you service wood stoves as well?

Yes — wood and pellet stoves receive a complete cleaning and safety review, from the stovepipe down to the baffle and door gasket.

How early should I schedule before winter?

Late summer or early fall is ideal. Our calendar fills fast after the first cold snap, so booking by September keeps you ahead.

How much time does a visit take?

A typical sweep runs about an hour. Adding an inspection with a camera scan tacks on another 30 to 45 minutes.

Clean it before you burn it.
